My husband and I began paring down three years ago when we moved into a small two-room (!) apartment, from a large three-story townhouse. A book that I found at the library had a simple approach to objects: Use it, display it, or throw it away. Throw it away means sell it, give it away, donate it, or put it in the garbage. We don’t even own a couch any more…
